About Us

Founded in 1982, CPE Incorporated (doing business as A-1 Servomotor Repair since 1997) began operations by repairing electromechanical devices deemed "not repairable" by anyone other than the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). CPE offered its customers a cost-effective, time-saving alternative to OEM repair by successfully reverse engineering and rebuilding high-tech electromechanical devices. CPE quickly gained a reputation in a variety of automated industries for its ability to rebuild proprietary equipment in a timely, cost effective manner.

In 1990 CPE limited operations and focused all available resources on servo repair. Along with this new direction, CPE reduced volume requirements in qualifying potential customers. As a result, it expanded its customer base to include motor distributors, electric motor repair shops and brokers. With the infrastructure firmly in place to accommodate a large number of customers, in 1997 CPE opened its doors to end users by removing all volume requirements. To better define the service available to end users, CPE changed its name to A-1 Servomotor Repair.

Today end users are able to enjoy the substantial savings that were once available only to high-volume, large-scale customers. In addition, end users now have the opportunity to bypass the middleman, reduce costs, and minimize turnaround time. Our customers enjoy prompt, professional, experienced support without the hassle, confusion and delay of a middleman. Our expertise includes stepper motor, servo motor, spindle motor and spindle repair.
